Returning From School Retreat

I returned earlier today from my school's retreat. It was a great experience and I took a lot away from it. Basically I spent 4 days in a dorm with all my classmates (I go to an all male private school FYI). Each day we would open up to everyone as a whole group and/or break into small groups of about ten and share more there.

It was amazing to hear the stories people were spilling. I listened to stories of people losing their close and loved ones. It really made me realize that no matter what, savor every second you're alive and never take anything for granted.

For any believers of God, I heard a quote that really helped me out. "God only puts obstacles in your life that He knows you can overcome." To me, that just made all my worrying about college, friends, etc, all fade away. I hope you find it relieving as well.

Anyways, I'm at home for the rest of today, then I leave for Florida tomorrow. However I will have internet access so I will stay in touch. Thanks for holding out while I was gone.

That is so true mate. I believe that God is actually testing us in our lives to see what decisions we'll make and how we treat others. To those who say "there can't be a God in this world as there's too much evil going on". I know a saying which is taken from my Holy Book and states: "Verily God does no injustice to man(kind), rather they do it to themselves." I have believed in God all my life and I try not to take things for granted. I lost my father when I was 9 years old so I realise we have to make the most out of life and have some goals to work towards. Well I'm glad you said what you said, it's chilled me out a lot (I was on the Games for Windows Live forums and people there are getting me really worked up by being vindictive, callous and hypocritical) Anyway I hope the clan gets stronger and some new games get added. By the way I just played the Section 8 beta and it's awesome!

When I was on the retreat I was physcho-analyzed as a "team player", "the glue to the entire group structre", "uplifting humor" and "the overall support of the group". Basically I care more about you guys than I do about myself, which is why I think I can lead this clan to success.
