I'm going to start piecing together a commercial video that we can use to advertise for the clan. In order to do this, I'm going to need some help for everyone. I'd need some screen shots and gameplay clips of YOU guys playing (not stuff that's already out there). If you've got some juicy stuff, post it and we'll put you in the credits.
I'll keep you updated.

Just look on my screen shot thread there's plenty there but as for vids I haven't got video recording software and I don't do pirating so I'm stumped there I'm afraid. I like the new icons by the way.

I can get some video of Counter Strike Source and Team Fortress 2 for sure. You just want games that are on the clan's game list or should I record some other stuff like Arma 2, Left 4 Dead, or CoD4?

Record COD4 but try to stick to the games we play. And for Martin you can record gameplay with Xfire for free.

Or the trial version of Fraps. The videos can only be 30 secs long and say fraps.com at the top, so its probably better to use xfire now that I think about it.

Sorry lads I despise Xfire and the last time I had fraps (dodgy download) I totally ****** my computer up and had to reinstall. Since then I've never used P2P ever again and all my games are legit too. What software are you using to edit it? And what are you using for a soundtrack? I mean if it's a military based video then you'll probably want something a bit heavy but if it's really fast gameplay then maybe some kind of dark techno would be appropriate. Also you should slightly speed the gameplay up a touch to make it seem out of this world and purely hyped up. You'll need more footage and you can't go too fast as it'll look silly but if you just slightly increase the speed of FPS game footage it'll look dark. TBH I'd rather be involved in the creative side of things rather than the playing side of it as I don't want to show myself up you know.

I'm just using Windows Movie Maker. Does anyone know any other programs that are better than WMM? And Martin I'd try hypercam, you can record game play with it (I think). And I can get you a serial number for it.

The one you're using is the best free program on the market

I just threw together some gameplay footage but I can't upload it anywhere. Every time I go to upload the progress bar stays at 100% and never loads the next page. I could e-mail it to you guys if you'd like to see it. It's 21.1 MB.

Do you have an nVidia GPU in your laptop? If you do then you can use CUDA to encode your video projects, the program is from Nero and they have a free trial and you can find it on nZone here: http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads-moveit-trial.php If you are a Photoshop user then you may like this if your pc meets the minimum specs required you can download a cool plug in for Photoshop called Office FX. The URL is http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_officefx_downloads.html all you do is run the benchmark tool and if your rig is sufficient it gives you the download URL

Yea Xfire is free, easy to use and effective. When you guys are recording make sure you set it to half size capture and 30 FPS or else you'll end up with gigabytes of video. And please send me your clips so I can add them in.

I'll have to record some gameplay. I never record or take screen shots. I do make videos from time to time though. Here's a quick Hellgate video I made by splicing the opening and the trailer together :

That's sick dude. If you need help recording, just ask us. And use Xfire, it's like the only way to record gameplay, I've tried every other program (minus FRAPS). Some COD and CS:S gameplay would be great.

Ok people I really need some COD footage and any other footage you have. And Outlaw, I need you to upload your gameplay to a host so I can download them, they came in really choppy last time.

I'm buying Adobe Premiere Elements 7 on Amazon later today so I can make a really good looking movie. Anyone got any objections to that?

No thats good, but don't buy it just for the clan commercial. I'll record some COD gameplay and get it to you as soon as I can.

I don't know of any other than Windows Movie Maker. I really like the video so far we just need some more games in it. I like the music too, its from "Why We Thugs" by Ice Cube, right?
